Alex King

Licence Appeal Tribunal Administrator

Graduating with an honours BA from the University of Toronto with high distinction, and an MA degree from Carleton University, I am the Licence Appeal Tribunal Administrator at MG Law.

I depend on my academic background and robust fact-finding abilities to successfully assist the Accident Benefits team in legal research. As the team’s Licence Appeal Tribunal Administrator, I assist the lawyers with the representation of their clients’ accident benefits disputes after the insurer has issued wrongful denials.

Acting as the liaison between the firm and the Licence Appeal Tribunal (LAT), I initiate disputes on behalf of clients, prepare disclosure briefs for MG Law’s legal counsels, and ensure seamless correspondence between all LAT dispute parties.

Above all, I remain committed to our clients’ statutory entitlement to medical benefits after an accident. I maintain this diligent commitment throughout the carriage of their tribunal file.

Important steps to take when injured

It’s important to remember that injuries can take some time to present themselves. If you’ve been in a bad accident, it’s important to take these steps regardless of how you feel, as it may take a few days or weeks for the full extent of your injuries to become apparent.

1.
Call the police and report your accident

Police reports are a valuable part of any court proceeding, so ensuring that the police have all the information you have available will reflect positively on your case.
