Our Culture

We believe that when you work as a team, life changing things happen.

By working together, mentoring, uplifting, and becoming involved in the communities we serve, we can make a life changing difference for the clients we serve.

Here at MG Law, we believe that positive law firm culture is the key to success. We value each and every employee and strongly believe that in order to do their best work for the clients they serve, they must feel their best – physically, mentally and emotionally.

In order for our team to strive, we must ensure that every employee feels comfortable, intellectually stimulated, and happy.

Together, we are one collective team, and we encourage a culture of collaboration. We solve problems as a team when they arise. No one is left alone in a difficult situation. We curate a safe environment where people are not afraid to ask questions, ask for help or bounce ideas off each other.

How do we do this?

We provide extensive training and ongoing support. Our employees regularly take professional development courses and seminars. We attend numerous professional development conferences both in Canada, and overseas. There, we are given the opportunity to meet with and learn from other professionals around the world.

At MG Law, we encourage our team to get involved in the communities they serve, to uplift, inspire and learn from them. For instance, MG Law was delighted to be a part of the Ottawa Black Business Expo for the first time this year and continues to be a part of Ottawa Black Businesses.

Miryam Gorelashvili, LL.B, Founder and Personal Injury Lawyer, has been actively working with the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association for many years. The Ontario Trial Lawyers Association exists to advocate for the rights of those who have suffered injury and loss through the wrongdoing of others. Through promotion and lobbying, the OTLA improves access to justice across Ontario and advocates for full and fair protection of the rights of those who have suffered injury and losses.

We are committed to educating those around us about their legal rights when it comes to personal injury, as well as forming new connections within various communities.

Multicultural and multilingual

MG Law understands how important it is for clients to feel comfortable working with us. Being able to express themselves in their own language goes a long way in creating a positive atmosphere. Ottawa is the bilingual capital of Canada, with the French language being widely spoken. Therefore, it is imperative that MG Law have a bilingual counsel, with four of our lawyers currently being fluently bilingual in English and French.

More than just speaking French, we understand that our community is full of many different cultures and languages. That’s why our team can fluently speak all Arabic dialects, English, French, Greek, Mandarin, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian, Punjabi, and Hindi.

Additionally, in the case of a client coming in being more confident speaking a language we don’t, we’ll bring in translators from the start to ensure clear and comfortable communication.
